Five actions you can take to protect access to medication abortion

The fight over access to medication abortion is headed back to the Supreme Court — and reproductive and religious freedom is at stake. Right now, in Louisiana v. FDA, the Court is actively considering nationwide restrictions on mifepristone, the pill used for medication abortion. Today, NCJW — joined by over 50 diverse faith organizations — filed an amicus brief defending access to this critical medication.

While we’re weighing in at the Supreme Court, there are still lots of things you can do to protect access to mifepristone and medication abortion. We’ve put together five ways for you to get started:

Donate and support NCJW’s abortion access work

A donation ask? In a rapid response moment? Groundbreaking. We know you hear it all the time, but we’re doing work on the ground across the country to protect access to abortion. It costs money to organize events, hire lawyers, and pay the staff that’s doing this critical work. Help us keep the lights on and the engines running — make a gift to support NCJW’s work.

We’ll break down the current status of Louisiana v. FDA, the case jeopardizing access to this critical medication, now before the Supreme Court, and what’s at stake for abortion and miscarriage care for people around the country. Send postcards to HHS Secretary RFK, Jr. calling on him to leave mifepristone alone

In addition to the Supreme Court case, the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) is poised to roll back approval of mifepristone, which would devastate access to medication abortion. We need to flood HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with postcards to reaffirm that medication abortion is safe, effective, and used by millions!

Grab your friends, grab a postcard kit, and let’s party with a purpose.
